Simple Minds Radio Sessions 1979 - 1982

Simple Minds Radio Sessions 1979 - 1982

Sound quality is 'A'.

Great collection of rare tracks compilation put out by Simple Minds supporters, you could call it a "fan" club but I feel as a man I can only be a "fan" of a hot woman.

So I tend to refer "fans" as supporters. Being a "fan" is so ... weak.... unless it's a hot babe, then it's all about the sexy.

Radio One Sessions, this is a fun album.

2 part post.

Thanks for all the early Simple Minds! Knowing by how crap they became in later years, it's easy to forget how great they were in the early eighties...

Funny how I can't find any info on the second Peel session on the BBC or Wikipedia sites. But this coming from the "fan" club and knowing how anal "fans" get about details, gives it some credibility to it actually being correct.

Thanks again, P@ndora

01-05 & 08-11 officially released on Silver Box

14 officially released on ”a hard-to-get BBC compilation album”, according to Dream Giver Redux

15 officially released on Theme 7 (Someone Somewhere In Summertime)

06-07 & 12-13 are the ”lost” John Peel Session recordings from 1982. According to one source:

Here is perhaps one the future most controversial uploads concerning Simple Minds. I traded these recordings two years ago with the one considered as the Pope of SM Bootlegs known as Shaun T. The debate is focused on the John Peel sessions from 1982. Looking at Dream Giver Redux or The Archives of the famous John Peel sessions, this recording doesn't appear. Shaun T. is 100% confident about the reality of this session forgotten in the database. The songs sound as real captured during sessions.
